According to the popular travel service app Wego, Saudi Arabia has become the leading destination for Pakistani travelers, witnessing an annual increase of over 100% in arrivals.
Reports from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region indicate that Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector is expanding rapidly. Landmark projects such as NEOM and the Red Sea Project are pioneering ecotourism and environmental tourism, setting new global standards.
As part of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is actively working to boost its tourism industry. The country remains a favored destination for thousands of Pakistanis each year, especially for religious visits. The number of travelers surges during Ramadan as many Pakistanis journey to Makkah and Madinah.
Recently, Wego launched its “Book on Wego” online travel agent platform for Pakistani users, allowing direct bookings for flights and hotels. With Saudi Arabia’s growing popularity among Pakistani travelers, the number of annual visitors continues to rise significantly.
In line with Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM 2025), Wego is actively participating in the Karachi event, collaborating with the Saudi Tourism Authority to enhance travel experiences.

He also noted that Wego has successfully secured a travel agency license from Pakistan’s Department of Tourism Services, further strengthening its presence in the country.
During PTM 2025, Wego will showcase its award-winning marketplace, demonstrating the advantages of booking through its platform. The app caters specifically to Pakistani travelers, offering access to budget airlines, major hotel chains, and local accommodations.
Travelers who book international flights via “Book on Wego” will receive 1GB of free mobile data along with a complimentary eSIM.

Wego aims to provide travelers with greater flexibility and convenience by enabling them to compare prices and options from an extensive network of local and global suppliers, transforming the travel booking experience.
According to Saudi authorities, over 2.5 million Pakistanis currently reside in the Kingdom. In addition to religious visits, many Pakistanis travel to Saudi Arabia for tourism and business purposes, further solidifying its position as their top international destination.
